The Mid-European Clay Conferences (MECC) are the joint conferences of the national clay groups of Slovakia, Germany-Austria-Switzerland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Croatia. The plan of joint meetings of the Mid-European clay groups was agreed during the EUROCLAY Meeting in Kraków, Poland in 1999, and supported by the European Clay Groups Association (ECGA).
The first MECC was organized by the Slovak Clay Group in Stara Lesna (Slovakia, 2001), followed by the conferences in Miskolc (Hungary, 2004), Opatija (Croatia, 2006), Zakopane (Poland, 2008), Budapest (Hungary, 2010), Průhonice (Czech Republic, 2012), Dresden (Germany, 2014) and Košice (Slovakia, 2016).
The Croatian Clay Group invites you to the 9th Mid-European Clay Conference, MECC 2018, to be held in Zagreb on 17 - 21 September 2018.
The aim of this internationally recognized conference is to promote co-operation and exchange of ideas among researchers, students and industrial partners of neighboring countries whose investigations are connected with various topics related to clays, zeolites and other phyllosilicate and silicate raw materials. Participants from other countries of Europe and from other continents are welcome, as well.
